Some time a go, I told ya’ll I was gonna be droppin’ Mixtapes like it ain’t no thing right? Right. Well this here is the 4th release for the VillainRadio Mixtape Series in just a lil’ over two and a half months. We gave ya’ll mixtapes from The Low Flow Playaz, just C.O.S., Yello Boi, and now we’re giving you guys something special. Something VERY special. Hit the jump, and get the info.

In 2004 I was apart of a team that put out a successful, and critically acclaimed mixtape/ compilation album titled, Indiana Stand Up Vol. 1, followed by the double disc release of Indiana Stand Up Vol. 2, which was a good release, but we shouldn’t have done the double disc thing, that just led to lower quality music being released by artists who don’t take their craft seriously. There were of course plans to put out Vol. 3, but it didn’t pan out, cuz the owner sold the website that introduced the Stand Up series to the masses.

After a dormant couple of months I went ahead and bought a .net domain name to relaunch the said site for the simple fact that the party who bought the original site ran it into the ground. The new site was a partnership between the site’s old owner and myself, but the site wasn’t seeing the success that the old one did due to the fact that MySpace was THEE place to be to promote music. We were working on a new release, but were going to have to change the name of the album series due to the sale of the old site. the new series was going to be called Indiana Pride, but before we could put it all together beef struck.

Due to circumstances that were both of our faults, the partnership was dissolved, and I agreed to turn control of the site over to my partner, who in turn decided to go head and use the Indiana Stand Up name instead. The new release, titled, Indiana Stand Up 2.5, was just recycled material from Stand Up Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, and then poof, the site went down.

Shortly after the site went down i started writing for VladTV, and I started this site, and started working on the mixtape releases that you’ve enjoyed for the past 2-3 months. While I was working on this particular one, I had trouble coming up with a name. My first name for the project was Indiana Legends, but I couldn’t get some of the songs that i wanted, and was disappointed in some of the material that I got, so i went in another direction. next up was the Hoosier State Heavyweight name, but s some of you may know, DJ Roc goes by that name, and even tho I made the album cover, again, I changed the name. All the time I was tryin’ to think of a name, the Stand Up brand stayed alive in the back of the brain, but I didn’t know if I wanted to use it, or if I could for that matter. After a lil’ researchin’, I found that it was mine for the taking, and in fact the Stand Up name never belonged anyone, at anytime. So I filed the ©Copyright and ™Trademark papers, and finished up the release.

So there you have it.

I am JUST a CHILD of SOCIETY… On this mission, stumbled across this mic. Kicked by the beat then proceeded to speak. The misconception hides the talent underneath the industry. Master the ceremonies but normally I just relax. I must give credit where it is due and I owe the homie Hashkid, Tizzel for opening this door! Spawned form the annihilation camp freestyle sessions, baby j honed this art of delivery and perspective and made it his own. I developed my style around the sound I love and well, im as far form the perfection as I am from the flaws but with a quick pause you might notice the cause of the effect is somthing like respect. Tell me what you think.

Personally, this is my favorite joint from the Str8 Killa No Filla mixtape, and Archie and The Goon knew it would be,  so much so, that Arch tweeted to Goon awhile back that this record was gonna blow my mind. Well, it did. This in studio performance piece was the last to get featured on Yours Truly, for their 5 Days of Fred promo they were doing.  So sit back, and watch Goon, and Fred tell the story about when Gibbs came back to L.A., and the rest,….well, the rest is history as they say.

I’ve been waiting for this flick since I got the leak last month, and like a lot of people I was psyched up, and even endured an hour of Jersey Shore. Then at 10 p.m. my time, I was on edge of the bed eagerly watchin’ the flat screen for…….a fuckin’ teaser, smmfh. but hey, it was worth it. This video is going to be sick as fuck.

David and crew were at Angels & Kings in Downtown Chicago on July 28th, and of course Villain Radio was there to catch the show, and some footage. Here’s a flick of “Wars & Rumors of Wars”. Well fuckers, the wait is over. The kind people at XXL posted the Mixtape this morning, and I apologize for taking so long to post it, but I was bein’ selfish, and bumpin’ the fuck out of it. I bumped it riding through The G, on the way to the beach, on my way to work, on my way home, and even now I’m still bumpin’ it. This right here is 100% Certified Crack Music. Real street shit. Fuck the rest out there, shit, throw those other CD’s out, and roll wit the Babyfaced Killa as he takes you on audio stroll through the streets of Gibbs, Indiana.
